A Greek Cypriot Choir and orchestra sing a number of traditional songs, including some composed by the conductor, veteran musician Mr. Michaeloudi.

Vassilis Panayi, a member and collaborator of Theatro Technis for many years, and presenter of many programs on London Greek Radio (www.lgr.co.uk) tells of his own association with Theatro Technis, of what was happening in his life at the time of the Greek junta coup and Turkish invasion of Cyprus, of how his father had not lived to go back to their home village located at the place on the mountainside of the Pentadaktylos mountains, where an immense emblem of the "Turkish Cypriot" "flag" has been etched into the mountainside so it can be seen in the distance from Nicosia. Vasili recites some of his poems.

George Eugeniou recites some of his poems.

Ricardo Curbello, a musician, harpist and performer from Colombia, long time friend in solidarity with Theatro Techis ends the program with his own musical contribution playing the harp.

Cyprus Week has taken place at Theatro Technis for 40 years, created originally as a cultural response by Cypriots in London to events in the 50's, and renewed again with greater intensity after the Greek Junta Coup and Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974 -- to highlight the struggle of the Cypriot people to find justice and to create a Republic that will benefit all its citizens free of foreign interference.

Cyprus Week is organised jointly by Theatro Technis (www.theatrotechnis.com) with the National Federation of Cypriot Organisations in the United Kingdom (www.cypriotfederation.org.uk)

A recording was made of an event organised by the National Federation, to lobby the British Parliament, with various British MPs speaking, which is available at:
